Sunaad Anoor
Sunaad Anoor is a fifth-generation musician from a family deeply rooted in musical tradition. He trained under his father, Vidwan Anoor Dattatreya Sharma, his uncle, Vidwan Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma, and his cousin, Vinod Shyam Anoor.
For the past 15 years, Sunaad has been an active presence in the Carnatic music scene as a khanjira artist. He is an A Grade artist with All India Radio and has shared the stage with several renowned artists in India and abroad.
Performances
Sunaad has performed across India and in Singapore, Europe and the USA. He has collaborated with the HR Big Band at the Frankfurt Jazz Festival in Germany, which showed his versatility on the global stage.
He was part of Allgäu meets India, an album that won a German jazz prize. He also contributes to ensembles and bands such as Layalahari, LayaLavanya, Kalarava, Intuition and Goddess. These projects reflect his presence across diverse musical landscapes.
Lakkshya
Sunaad is an integral member of Lakkshya, the contemporary music band. The band blends diverse musical influences to create a distinctive contemporary sound. Lakkshya has performed at jazz festivals, jazz clubs and international music festivals across the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Poland, Luxembourg, Germany and other destinations. Lakkshya released its debut album, Ecstasy, featuring renowned musicians B.C. Manjunath, Mohini Dey and Achal Murthy. The album reflected the bands collaborative spirit and its exploration of contemporary musical expressions rooted in diverse treditions.
